Wide area products

Applications
- Wide area images are characterised by a footprint of several hundreds of kilometres. They are acquired by satellites with high revisit capability offering permanent monitoring on a regional and global scale of environmental phenomena, for vegetation cover, coastal areas and ocean surfaces.

Products
- Wide area products are acquired by:
  • the VEGETATION instrument flown on Spot 4 and Spot 5 satellites.
  • the MERIS instrument, flown on the Envisat satellite.
